I tried another cake. And it turns out marvelous, delicious and very appealing. I am sharing the recipe of this cake. It can be called almond cake. Almonds used in batter gives very rich taste and flavor to the cake, and on the top of cake they go with honey brush so well. It is a 2 pound cake recipe you can change it accordingly. I hope you will also find it very interesting.
Let’s start with the ingredients
|Butter||250 grams unsalted|
|Sugar||14 to 15 Table Spoons|
|Vanilla essence||1-2 Drops|
|Salt||1 Small Pinch|
|Baking Soda||Half Tea Spoon|
|Baking Powder||Half Tea Spoon|
|Almonds||As per your taste|
A brush for applying honey.
- Beat eggs and sugar together until it get so fluffy, foamy. As much you beat, your cake turn out so soft and moist.
- Melt the butter in double boiler. Don’t burn it and put it into egg mixture and beat for some seconds. Put half cup of crushed almonds in it and beat for some seconds. To get flavor of almonds in the cake
- In a separate dry bowl sprinkle flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and toss them all. Now put these dry ingredients into the egg and butter mixture.
- Now pre heat oven at 180 degree Celsius for half an hour. Put cake batter in 9 inches cake tin and place it in oven carefully for almost.
- Cook it for almost 45 minutes, check it before time is done. To check put a toothpick inside it, if it comes dry cake is done, if not you have to put it for some more time.
- After cake it out from oven place it on cooling rack, for half an hour at room temperature.
- Now cake is cooled. Cut almonds into halves carefully, don’t break them. Now apply brush of honey over the top of cake and place almonds on full cake. And again brush the honey over it.
- Let it set for 2 hours at room temperature in kitchen. After it set cut it and enjoy.
